Chain Rx

Just looked for a cool pattern and snapped this while walking Nathan at lunch. More snow is expected tonight into tomorrow and Wednesday too. Snow photos may be in store.

Perspective

Just some perspective of how small we really are. Or how large the buildings in NYC are. Either way, check out your surroundings. And look up because all that's on the ground is snow.

Communication

Am absolutely exhausted today and will chronicle why over at Waxed Red Threads.  Just got in from practice and took Nathan to the dog park.  Daily Shoot has their theme set for communication.  Here's Nathan getting to know two new dogs on the block, from Texas.
Good to meet you two.  I'm Nathan.

Friday's Two-fer

First one is a panoramic (courtesy of the Son DySC-TX7) while standing in a walking zone in Times Square last night.  I hope it looks OK when it's larger.

This next one is inspired from Daily Shoot - today's theme is RED.  Anything red.  As Billy Joel said, "a bottle of red...".

Stylish Blogger Award

This goes against the blog standards (one picture per day), but I want to thank C. Alvarez for casting a me "Stylish Blogger Award" for DDP.
Stylish Blogger Award!

1. Special Thanks:  to C. Alvarez for the award.  I hope everyone enjoys the pictures I will continue to post every day.
2. 7 Things About Me:  1. I guilt-ily read Us Weekly; 2. I often wear jeans 3 or 4 days in a row; 3. I don't floss but will forever use an electric toothbrush; 4. Food Network is my drug; 5. I recently switched from ankle socks to crew socks; 6. I could eat cereal for every meal, every day; 7. I have started around 5 books and am several pages in to each one.

The Big Dig

New York City was once again buried by a winter storm, and once again, every news channel has non-stop coverage on the storm.  There really seems to be no news other than snow.

I had to dig my car out - not because I plan on driving today - but because I'd rather not wait until it freezes and gets heavier as it melts oh so slowly.  It took a shovel and snow scraper to fully remove Big Blue.
Confused as to why the snow keeps kicking our ass.

Snowy Day

Just a photo I took when I walked out my office door when I realized it was really snowing.  Meteorologists basically get paid to be wrong half the time.  I am in the wrong profession.

Color Accent

Ever since Lindsay got me my Canon SX10-IS a few years ago, the color accent feature has been a favorite setting of mine. Here's a bunch of mini carnations I got at the grocery store.

Chilly on the Beach

This is a photo I snapped when Lindsay and I had our little vacation in Montauk. Thought it was a cool shot.

Nathan Hanging Out

This is not a photo I took today, but one I found in my phone.  It's kind of funny the way dogs sit/sleep/lounge around, and this was one I wanted to share.  Nathan is our dachshund - he'll be two on April 4th.  He's the shit!

Street Signs

This is just a shot I took on my walk home after a long day at the gym.  I also kind of wish there were more signs on this pole, but I settled. The arrows make this photo a little cooler.

Stairway to Heaven

This stairway gets you from the 1 train to one of the dorms at Manhattan. Something like 136 steps. I walked in today to check on something and thought to take a picture.

Get Low

A photo taken by me as gas was being pumped into Big Blue. A low perspective on things with the 1 Train running overhead.

Travelling

The snowy, blustery drive home from Montauk
